Buying - The first time you come, you will need to come to the service booth to register for a bidder number if you think you might want a chance to win an auction. Remember your number for any future visits, as this will be your permanent number for our auctions. After receiving your bidder number, simply browse around the lots to see if anything sparks your interest! The auctions will begin in numerical order. This gives you an idea of when to be at the lot for an item you are interested in. Once bidding begins, chime in however you want! Raise a hand, give a yell, whatever suits you and gets our attention. Bids will continue until there is only one bidder left on the lot. That person will be the highest bidder and the winner of that current auction.

Staff will be recording the winning bidder number, price and lot number. When you are ready to leave for the night, just go to the service desk and pay for all of your winning auctions, then go and pick up your items!

THINGS TO KNOW

• Everything at the auction that is bought or didn’t sell must be taken home that night. If you find that you can’t fit all your bought items in your vehicle, you can get ahold of Auction staff to arrange for picking it up at a later time. All things left past the arranged time will be considered abandoned and will be re-listed in the next auction with no refund for the item(s).

• We will do everything possible to ensure that the auction items are in working order or “as described”. Electric or motorized items will be checked at the time of drop off to ensure they are working as intended or stated.

• All items in the auction are considered pre-owned and “as is”. If you bid on an auction, you must be prepared to buy it. No warranties or guarantees. No refunds or returns.

• We have limited areas to sit around the property. Pack accordingly for the event by bringing lawn chairs to sit on since the auction may take a few hours to finish up. Don’t forget items like rope to tie things down!

• Rustic Woods is not responsible for accidents, theft, or loss.

• We have a designated parking area for the auction. Follow staff or signs to park your vehicle. Please do not park in the drive areas as this needs to be available for loading, unloading, and traffic coming in or out for the evening.

• Rustic Woods reserves the right to ban people from buying or selling for any reason. Rustic Woods also reserves the right to remove someone from the property.

Selling - When you arrive to drop off your items for the auction, you will be given a lot number after registering with us for a bidder number. The bidder number will also be your seller number so don’t forget it for use during our Auctions. All items will be inspected to make sure both seller and Auction staff are on the same page as to the items condition. Staff will write down anything that needs to be noted along with a minimum reserve price if necessary.

On auction day, just sit back and watch the fun. Better yet, do some bidding on another seller’s items and win something good! After all your items have sold, and all buyers have paid for their items, come to the service desk to collect your money. There will be a 20% Auction Fee for the total of your sales at the end of the auction. They will be deducted at time of payout.

We will do our best to sell everything you bring, but auctions are a gamble. If you have set a reserve price on an item, have your reserves set too high, or there just isn’t an interest for the particular item, it may not sell. Any unsold items from your lot must be taken home with you that night!
